Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3: What Level Should You Be For Mountain Pass In BG3?

Wondering what level you should be before taking on the Mountain Pass route in Baldur’s Gate 3? While exploring the Wilderness in Act 1, players will come across many challenges and encounter many enemies as they progress through their journey of finding a cure. As you land further and near the second act of BG3, you will stumble upon the Overland or the Mountain Pass route that will lead you to the Githaynki Creche. And also further toward the Last Light Inn. However, while entering the area if you are not at the right level, the game will warn you about your party being under-leveled. And you might wonder, what level you should be exactly before you access the mountain pass. So if you want to know the same, check out this guide further to know more.

What Level You Should Be for Mountain Pass in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Players will need to be level 5 if they are looking to explore the Mountain Pass and head further into the Shadow Lands in Baldur’s Gate 3. And although you can still find the route to be viable while being on level 4, we would recommend you grind your way to the upper level. You will see a huge power difference between these two levels.

As the game tells you to tie up some loose ends, players can start by exploring the areas they have already been to. Face off with enemies or creatures they might have avoided or missed. Even loots through hidden chests or areas will let you level up in the game. You can enter burrow holes or crevices to find hidden passages, chests, etc. Completing different quests will no doubt help you gain those experience points and level up in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Another reason to grind your way to level 5 is that players will also unlock level 3 spells for their respective classes. Not to mention, brute classes like Barbarian, Paladin, etc will double the damage they deal and will also have an extra attack feature at their disposal. Level 5 will be an important upgrade while entering the perilous Mountain Pass route in Baldur’s Gate 3. It is recommended, as you will find it relatively easy facing the Githyankis and other enemies you encounter on your way to the Shadow Lands.

That’s everything covered on what level you should be for mountain pass in Baldur’s Gate 3.
