It is possible to Romance Mizora in Baldur’s Gate 3 even without having her as a Companion. This means that there is no need for you to gain her Approval like other characters. You’ll get the chance to Romance Mizora during Act 3 in Baldur’s Gate 3. You will have to do certain tasks during Act 1 and Act 2 so that Mizora shows up at your tent. That said, here’s what you need to do:

Act 1

First of all, make sure that you have Recruited Wyll to your party in Act 1. After that, be sure to slightly side with Mizora during the conversation with her. Do not completely favor Mizora as this will get you Wyll’s Disapproval. You probably don’t want Wyll to leave your party because that would mean no further interactions with Mizora.

Act 2

During Act 2, you must gain access to the Moonrise Towers. There, Mizora will ask you to help her by finding Zariel’s Asset. This Asset is none other than Mizora herself who is locked inside a Pod in Mind Flayer Colony. You will find this Mind Flayer Colony while chasing Ketheric Thorm. In order to break Mizora free from the Pod, you’ll have to make a Strength Check. Note that Saving Mizora during Act 2 is an essential step if you want to Romance her in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).

Act 3

During Act 3, you will get to visit Wyrm’s Rock Fortress. Here, Wyll will see his father, Grand Duke Ravengard, locked in a room. Just make sure to not pick up a fight with Lord Gortash there. This all is important so that Mizora can show up at your Camp after you come back from Wyrm’s Fortress. During this conversation, Wyll will get a chance to break her pact with Mizora. The decision here plays a role in your quest to Rescue Grand Duke Ravengard. Mizora will stay at the Camp regardless of the decisions you make. And after a few Long Rests, you will be able to Romance Mizora in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).

While talking to her, select the following dialogue to initiate a romantic scene with Mizora:

• “Sounds delicious. What are you suggesting?”

Accept her offer and do a Long Rest and at night, you will be taken over to another dimension by Mizora. Getting inside her Wings will trigger the love scene with her.

How to Beat Ansur in Baldur’s Gate 3

You can beat Ansur in BG3 once you have solved the Legend of Ansur Book puzzle and all the puzzles at Wyrmway Dungeon. These puzzles include the Chamber of Justice, Chamber of Insight, Chamber of Strategy, and the Chamber of Courage. Once you have solved these puzzles, head to the Dragon’s Sanctum chamber to fight against Ansur. Soon as you interact with the Ansur, it will trigger a cutscene with the Emperor.

With a health bar of 400 HP, Ansur is a level 17 Undead Dragon. Alongside Ansur, you will also be pitted against various Water Myrmidons and Elementals. But rather than focusing on killing them, you must target Ansur and deplete his health.

So, here are some tips and strategies to beat the Ansur in Baldur’s Gate 3:

• Since Ansur has some help, we recommend using the Dance Macabre in BG3. Being a level 6 spell from the Necromancy of Thay, it summons six Ghouls until Long Rest.
• If your Tav is a Wizard or if you have Gale in your party, use the Globe of Invulnerability spell. This spell creates a barrier that offers immunity to all incoming damage.
• Rather than close melee attacks, we suggest using ranged or AoE attacks. That’s because Ansur can use the Attack of Opportunity to cause melee swipes.
• You must place your party members around the Ansur since this dragon can inflict massive damage.
• We suggest not using any Lightning attacks on Ansur due to their Hoarding Energy effect. While the attacks can inflict the Blinded condition and cause minor damage, this dragon can absorb all the electricity.
• Once the attack has enough charge, it can unleash the AoE damage affecting the entire arena and party members. So, be cautious using any Lightning attacks on this dragon.
• As you fight with Ansur in BG3, ensure to inflict as much damage as possible in fewer turns. For example, you can use the Arrow of Dragon Slaying that deals double damage to the Dragons with 42~56 damage.

All Ansur Drops in BG3

Casting Mage Hand requires Action and Concentration. It lasts 10 turns unless its low 3-hit point maximum is depleted. The main benefit of Mage Hand is being able to interact with objects from a distance.

To use it, select Mage Hand from your list of cantrips. This will summon the spectral hand. You’ll then be able to control it by clicking on its portrait next to your character’s. The hand can pick up objects, open doors and chests, move light sources, and use the Shove and Throw actions. It’s also handy for looting downed enemies.

However, Mage Hand has limited combat viability. Using your action to cast it means losing out on other options for a turn. Furthermore, with only three hit points, the hand is easily destroyed by enemies. The Shove action is rarely worth it in battles, either.

Instead, Mage Hand shines outside of fights. Use it to safely trigger traps, grab hard-to-reach items, move obstacles, and open doors and containers. It essentially serves as an extra hand for your party. Just do not rely on it during heated skirmishes.

• Use Mage Hand to your advantage in combat, but only use your action if it significantly impacts the battle.
• It can distract enemies by moving objects around or making noise.
• Keep an eye on the range of your Mage Hand at all times. If you lose track of it, you could lose control of it.
• Don’t overextend your Mage Hand beyond its 18 meters range.
• Use Mage Hand for tasks like opening doors and chests from a safe distance.

The Mountain Pass

One of the main routes to Baldur’s Gate is through the Mountain Pass to the west of the Act 1 area. This route involves getting past a contingent of formidable Githyanki warriors guarding the pass.

Ability Checks are a critical gameplay mechanic in Baldur’s Gate 3 that determines whether your character succeeds or fails at various actions and tasks. When attempting an action, the game will prompt you to make an Ability Check by rolling a 20-sided die (d20) and adding your character’s relevant ability modifier. You succeed if the total meets or exceeds the Difficulty Class (DC) set by the game.

This could be because of a condition that’s unfulfilled or it could be a bug. Here’s what to do if Long Rest is not working in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Unable to Long Rest in BG3 Fix

Here’s why players may be unable to Long Rest in Baldur’s Gate 3:

• Not enough Camp Supplies.
• It’s a bug/glitch.
• One or more of the mods you are using could be causing the issue.

Not Enough Camp Supplies

If it’s your first time trying to long rest in Baldur’s Gate 3, note that you need to have 40 Camp Supplies in order to do a full Long Rest. If you don’t have enough, you will be able to do a partial Long Rest which will do 50% of the boost you would get otherwise.

• To go to the Camp, click on the campfire icon at the bottom right of the screen, and hover over the crescent moon icon. The pop-up will show you how many Camp Supplies you currently have. Click on it and you will go to the Camp and end the day.

  

• You will then get teleported to the Camp where you need to click on the campfire to ‘Go to Bed’ and continue from there.

  

You can choose to stay up if someone in the camp wishes to speak to you. But if you want to fully rest, use the camp supplies and recover your resources.

To get Camp Supplies (which are food items), you need to keep playing the game and collect them from enemy corpses, find them while exploring, or simply buy them. In order to not lose out on these items, make sure to highlight lootable objects after regular intervals.

BG3 Unable to Long Rest Bug

• If it’s a bug, load up a previous save and see if you are able to Long Rest now.
• Another thing you can do is close the game and client completely and relaunch it.
• If you’re clicking on the campfire, but nothing happens, it could be related to mod conflict.
• Lastly, if one of your party members is downed, you cannot end the day. For players who are getting this message, the solution is to down your main character and help them up. This will fix the issue.

Check your Mods

While this issue has been appearing since the Early Access version of Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios has replied to players due to the possibility of installed mods causing problems. Here’s what the developers suggest:

• Completely uninstall and remove mods. Our guide explains how to do it and which associated folders to delete.
• Delete the Baldur’s Gate 3\LevelCache folder and start the game which will recreate it at startup.
• Verify the integrity of Steam Game files. If you’re playing via GOG, verify/repair the files.
• Launch the game as an administrator directly from the .exe file.
• If you are using Vulkan, switch to DirectX and vice versa. Load a save prior to going to the Camp and then go to the camp and save and exit the game. Then open the client, switch to your original choice of Vulkan/DirectX, load the save where you are in the camp, and hopefully, the Long Rest works.

Yes, you should become Half Illithid in BG3 if you want to use the best Illithid powers. Soon as you consume the Astral-touched Tadpole, it will transform you into a Half-Illithid. While this partial Mind Flayer evolution unlocks all the Tier 2 Illithid powers and skill tree, it also changes your physical appearance. Due to this Mind flayer transformation, you will grow veins all over the body. But the only drawback of transforming into a Half Illithid is that all of your party members will disapprove.

You can also choose to reject the Emperor and not consume the Tadpole. If you change your mind, you can use the Astral-touched Tadpole in your Inventory at any point. But if you want to unlock more Illithid powers and not lose any approvals from your party, you can convince them into consuming the Tadpole for enhancing Illithid powers.

Fortunately, becoming a Half Illithid in Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t affect the storyline or ending. But letting the Emperor evolve you into an Illithid or a complete Mind Flayer has an impact on the ending.
